Appraisals

The cornerstone program of the AutoClaims Direct solution is the coupling of an auto damage appraisal, linked with an online system, housing data and providing instant accessibility to claims. Our staff of specialists are trained and positioned throughout our coverage areas, to provide an accurate and clear report of their inspection. Each appraiser completes an itemized cost of repairs utilizing industry standard appraisal software and digital imaging converted to an easy format for viewing. Each report consists of the estimated amount of repairs, digital images, and any additional information requested or noted during the inspection. A total loss worksheet and salvage bid will be provided upon request. All inspections are customized to comply with insurance company guidelines, and must meet the requirements of the Fair Claims Settlement Practice Regulations. Once an appraisal is complete, it is uploaded via our DirectLink data warehousing system where we maintain and audit files. Our system of auditing and random re-inspection programs enables us to ensure appraisal consistency throughout all service areas, at the same time providing complete control to the insurance adjuster responsible for the claim.

Reviews

These estimates are usually below $3500 dollars. Our process evaluates the estimate and rewrites it if necessary based on industry standards combined with your company guidelines for a fair settlement. A copy of the shop estimate and our estimate is faxed or e-mailed to the repair shop, and an agreed price is obtained. The AutoClaims Direct review program provides a 48-hour turn around time on all review assignments received.

DOI Reinspection Program

Pursuant to California DOI Regulations Code 1874.85, the California department of insurance requires insurers that issue automobile collision and liability policies to re-inspect for statistical sampling vehicle claims that are approved for repairs. We determine whether the work paid for was actually completed per specification. Our DOI re-inspection program can help to handle this for your company. We can provide reports and statistical information at the end of each month.
